Surfing England and FatFace Foundation

We’re delighted to have brokered this partnership between the FatFace Foundation and Surfing England. This partnership helps create more opportunities. In particular, it helps make surfing accessible and inclusive for everyone.

With support from the FatFace Foundation’s Team Risers Project Fund, Surfing England will expand opportunities for underrepresented communities. Notably, this will happen through two fantastic initiatives: the Bristol Para Surf Club and the Women & Girls in Surf Coaching Programme.

The funding will help establish the Bristol Para Surf Club as a sustainable hub for the para surfing community in the South West. It will offer accessible monthly surf sessions at The Wave, coach and volunteer training, and opportunities to build a strong, connected community both in and out of the water.

It will also support Surfing England’s Women & Girls in Surf Coaching Programme. Specifically, it will provide training for more female surf coaches and help inspire the next generation of women and girls in the sport.

We’re proud to have helped bring together two organisations whose shared commitment to inclusion and community will have a lasting impact across UK surfing.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved, we can’t wait to see these programmes make a real difference in communities across the country.
